ABOUT US
Welcome to Blue Sky Counselling and Psychotherapy
At Blue Sky Counselling and Psychotherapy I understand that sitting down and looking for counsellors in your area (whether it is for yourself or a friend or family member) can be a daunting and sometimes lonely experience. I would like to make that process easier for you. At Blue Sky the aim is to make our service easily accessible so that you feel free to call, email, text or drop in to see how the process of counselling might work for you. You don’t need a referral to come to counselling, all you need to do is contact Blue Sky by your preferred method and arrange a time suitable to your needs. On contacting the service all your questions will be answered without having to make a commitment to attend counselling.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you feel your difficulties aren’t important enough to warrant counselling or it feels self-indulgent to attend therapy, I would encourage you to come to an initial session to discuss your concerns.
Everyone goes through challenging situations in life, and while you may have successfully got through other difficulties you’ve faced, you may benefit from extra support at this time. By engaging in counselling or psychotherapy you are taking responsibility by accepting where you are in life and making a commitment to change the situation for the better.
You can expect to be provided with a safe, confidential space dedicated to your well-being. Counselling sessions are approximately 50 minutes long and most people come weekly.
At Blue Sky Counselling and Psychotherapy you can expect to be treated with respect and compassion with your best interest central at all times.
The time you come for depends on you and the issues that are presented.
Some people come for support around a specific short-term difficulty they are facing and may only wish to come for a short period, for example, 6-10 sessions.
Others come for more long term therapy and this may be for several months or longer.
Like starting therapy, finishing therapy is at the discretion of the client.
At Blue Sky I am here to help you. Your safety, welfare and well-being is what’s important during our meetings. There is nothing you cannot share in counselling as I am there to listen in a non-judgemental setting. In order to work as a counsellor I have undertaken rigorous and extensive training, supervision and undertaken my own personal therapy. In doing so I am aware of what it is like to be a client and with my training I am in a privileged position to guide you through this difficult time.
Why Choose Blue Sky Counselling and Psychotherapy?
As human beings, everyone experiences difficult times in their life. We can often feel down, sad, angry, afraid, frustrated or confused with life’s circumstances. Sometimes, life can really throw us and we simply have no idea how to cope. This often passes by itself, but should it not; it can be helpful to seek professional help.
On a personal note, like most human beings, I know what it is to suffer emotional pain and despair, to feel like it would never end and to come out the other end feeling good about myself.
